The public is invited to some entertainment this weekend with a performance at the Paton-Churdan School.

The seventh and eighth graders will be doing a musical called, “Seussical Jr.” Director Shannon Hobbs says the show is about Horton the elephant who hears a Who and tries to keep them safe on a clover. However, the situation becomes complicated by the Wickersham brothers who steal the clover and Mazie the bird who needs a vacation. Hobbs tells Raccoon Valley Radio she chose this musical because it’s a fun and entertaining show full of imagination and it fits the energy of the middle school students.

Hobbs notes that they started working on the show since January and encourages people to see the production because the kids have worked hard and put in lots of time and energy. The performances will be at 7pm tomorrow and Saturday, with the doors opening at 6:30pm at the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance by calling the school or at the door.
