The Guthrie County Hospital celebrated with a ceremony of their new medical clinic in Panora Wednesday morning.
Director of Clinics Tina Nourse said the turn out for the grand opening was amazing and a lot of people toured the facility.
“It’s so good to see the community out here supporting something new. We’ve spent a lot of time planning, designing, building, just something that we feel like is modern state of the art that can provide patients with the best care possible in the community. So we’re happy to see so many people out here supporting that.”
Doctor Joshua Strehle said the new improvements with the new clinic will make his job easier.
“Essentially triple the number of exam rooms, which is going to enable quicker patient care, better access to the doctor, to the nurse practitioner for those acute needs, as well as being able to accommodate people that need to be seen on a routine basis for those long term illnesses. So that’s what I’m most excited about.”
Also, Strehle added the new clinic provides more space so it was worth waiting three years to get the facility built. The clinic will provide services like a walk-in clinic, physicals, parental services and much more.
