The Greene County Community Foundation invites the public to celebrate this year’s grant recipients.

The non-profit organization is returning to the full in person event on Monday, April 4th at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. GCCF received 34 applications that totaled over $400,000 in grant requests. The foundation will be allocating $208,307 to fully fund 13 worthy projects and programs, along with partially funding five additional projects.

Past-President Don Van Gilder says they received $160,000 from Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, as the non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. The remaining $48,307 came from the foundation’s endowment fund, which they are allowed to take up to five-percent of the total endowment to utilize for additional grants.

The grant award ceremony is free and open to the public.
