The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the National Public Health Week proclamation at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The Board approved the proclamation that will coincide with National Public Health Week which is April 4th-10th. Also, the Board discussed the City of Adel 175th birthday celebration involving the various celebrations that will happen this year to celebrate Adel’s 175 year birthday.
The Board then held the first reading of proposed changes to Chapter 3 establishing county supervisor districts and election precincts which was approved and the second and third readings were waived. Also, the Board approved the City of West Des Moines wetland credit allocation for .27 of their previously purchased wetland credits.
The Board then held a continued public hearing regarding a Dallas Soil & Water Conservation District wetland easement for a 30 year easement which was approved. The Board then discussed and approved the election of standard revenue loss regarding the American Rescue Plan Act funds and the standard American Rescue Plant Act funds project list which includes $5 million for RRVT Trail projects and $389,000 for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. $10 million fund.
The Board then held a public hearing regarding the Apple Raccoon River Valley Trail temporary construction easement that will be used for improvements on S Avenue. The Board then approved a City of Waukee Raccoon River Valley Trail utility easement associated with the S Avenue improvements.
Finally, the Board approved multiple board appointments in Mark Thompson and Amanda McDivitt for the Planning and Zoning Commission, Randy Leventhal for the Fox Creek Benefited Water District and Russell Burgett for the Bock Family Foundation
