A seed starting and garden planning class will be taking place tomorrow in Minburn for people to learn more about gardening.
There will be a free seed starting/garden planning class that will begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Minburn Public Library which will include multiple topics regarding gardening and planting.
Minburn Public Library Director Nicole Connick says the idea to do a class about seed starting and gardening came about from their seed lending library but Connick says due to the coronavirus pandemic, they haven’t been able to have a class to go along with it.
“The Dallas County Master Gardeners provided us with a brand new seed lending library with fresh new seeds and they are going to do a class for us on how to save your seeds and general garden planning. So, for anybody who is looking to get a garden started they should come and join us for that class.”
Connick tells Raccoon Valley Radio some of the things that will be discussed at the class with the Dallas County Master Gardeners.
“It’s lots of very good information as to how to store them, what temperature, how long to keep them, all kinds of good information like that.”
Connick encourages people to come out and learn more about gardening and seeds.
