Dallas County schools sent representatives to the Iowa High School Music Association Solo/Small Ensemble Festival over the weekend and they came away with good results. 

For Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School, 30 students from the vocal music department performed which consisted of five ensembles and four soloists. Of these, three ensembles and two soloists earned a Superior rating, one ensemble and two soloists earned an Excellent rating and one ensemble earned a Good rating. 

Also, for ADM’s Michael Payne he earned a perfect score and the prestigious “Best of Center Award” and will perform again at the “Best of Center” Showcase at Iowa State University on May 17th. 

For Perry High School, two students received a Superior rating for vocal solos and four students received an Excellent rating. For Vocal Ensemble, three ensembles received a Superior rating and two received an Excellent rating.
