After Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s track and field event in Jefferson got canceled, the team will now travel to Des Moines today for a separate event.

The meet at Greene County High School was canceled for the harsh weather conditions Monday afternoon. The AC/GC track and field coaches quickly enrolled both teams in the Colfax Mingo meet that will take place in Des Moines tomorrow. The Chargers are looking to start their outdoor track and field season and the weather today looks more suitable for a meet with temperatures that could reach close to 57 degrees but there will be a chance of rain and high winds. Head Coach Colin Shawgo says his team is itching to get on the track and field to show what they have been working so hard for.

The event today will be at Des Moines Christian High School starting at 4:30pm.
