Funeral service for Mary Kay Dirkx, age 80, of Carroll, will be held at 3 p.p. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll at a later date. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 1–2:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.

Mary Kay is survived by: her husband, Lyle “Speed” Dirkx of Carroll; her children and their families: John Dirkx (Pam Soyer) of Carroll, Kim (Bill) Risselman of Halbur, Bob Dirkx of Carroll, Karmen (Joe) Rotert of Omaha, NE, and Shaun (Heather) Dirkx of Grundy Center; twelve grandchildren: Cameron Dirkx (Emily Pena), Matt Risselman (fiancée Alma Cortez), Michael (Kaitlyn) Risselman , Morgan (Jordan) Ellis, Cody (Marysol) Rotert, Connor Rotert, Molly Risselman (fiancé Cole Hoffman), Zachary Dirkx, Chase Dirkx, Lucas Dirkx, Arianna Dirkx, and Julianna Dirkx; eight great-grandchildren: Luna, Ryker, Max, Dawson, Leo, Oden, Oliver, and Liam; brothers: Joe (Barb) Conley of California, George (Jean) Conley of Waukee, and Richard (Sandy) Conley of Wisconsin; sisters-in-law: Maxine Goetzinger of Roselle and Cleo Wiskus of Exira; brother-in-law: Robert (Carol) Dirkx of Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.
