Friday, March 25th

9:42am: Ashley Jones reported Harassment from a Guthrie County female. The officer contacted the subject and advised them to end the unwanted contact.

1:40pm: Mary Monthei reported a Careless Driver on 235th Street, heading towards Jefferson. The officers later located the reported vehicle at a residence and spoke to the driver about the complaint.

4:42pm: Dispatch received an Abandoned 911 Call from the 200 Block of West State Street. The officers did not locate anyone needing assistance in the area.

6:57pm: A caller advised of a Stray Dog in the 800 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer returned the animal to the owner and issued Paul Tucker of Jefferson a Citation for, “Animal at Large – Prohibited.”

7:12pm: A parent called and advised a juvenile male had pulled a knife on a group of juveniles at Russell Park. The officers investigation learned the male juvenile had taken a knife out of his pocket and showed it to the group. The officer contacted the juveniles parent about the event. The knife had not been used maliciously during the event.

9:22pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle in the 500 Block of North Maple Street. The vehicle had only its parking lights activated, not the headlights. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Christopher Robin Lawrence, 61 of Jefferson for, OWI 2nd Offense – Aggravated and Fail to Use Headlights When required.”

9:58pm: Sarah Broadbent reported hearing a possible explosion near the 500 Block of South Olive Street. Officers searched the area, but did not locate anything.

Saturday, March 26th

12:40am: A caller advised of a pickup in the ditch on 220th Street, near Mulberry Street. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Eric Wayne Bellinghausen, 41 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious and Failure to Maintain Control.”

12:08pm: An officer removed debris from the roadway in the 900 Block of South Elm Street.

1:35pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop in the 1000 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. Jennifer Zander of Dawson was cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

7:53pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of West Lincoln Way Street resulted in Caleb Johnson of Story City being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

9:28pm: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Matthew Naberhaus of Scranton being cited for, “Violation of Conditions of Restricted License and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

11:59pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets resulted in Conner McDowell of Carroll being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

Sunday, March 27th

12:41am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 300 Block of East Vest Street for, “Parked Between the Lot Line and Curb Line.”

1:58am: A caller advised her neighbor’s TV was too loud at 109 North Grimmell Road. The officer spoke to the neighbor, who turned the noise down.

3:07am: An officer located an Open Door at 1108 North Elm Street and secured the business.

9:13am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Head Streets resulted in Sydney Vogel of Panora being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

10:14am: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Ricardo Oerez Romero of TX. being cited for, “No Valid Driver’s License and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

10:26am: Makayla Sparr reported two Stray Dogs running near 220th and Mulberry Streets. The officer were unable to locate the animals.

11:20am: Rhonda Randleman turned in a Cell Phone she had located in the 100 Block of West Washington Street. The officer was able to return the phone to the owner.

1:32pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Lori Rassmussen of Boone being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

5:04pm: Mark Huffman reported a Speeding Driver on N Ave, heading south towards Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle in Jefferson and spoke to the driver about the complaint. 

5:35pm: Officers investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 100 Block of North Elm Street. A 2013 Ford F150, owned by David Trask of Jewell and operated by Teagan Trask of Jewell, was southbound in the inside lane and attempted to change to the outside lane. Trask struck a vehicle that was in the outside lane. The 2010 Mazda MZ3 was owned and operated by Isaac Roll of Boone. Each vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages. Trask was cited for, “Turning from Improper Lane.”

6:21pm: A Traffic Stop in the 500 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Victoria Siegel of Des Moines being cited for, “Violation of Conditions of Restricted License and Excessive Speed.”

7:04pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Zachary Danner of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
