There will be one primary election coming up this June for an elected office in Greene County.
According to the Greene County Auditor’s Office, there are three Republican candidates vying for the County Supervisor Third District seat. Those candidates include Dan Benitz, Cassie George and James Hedges. Current Supervisor Tom Contner will not seek re-election in the Third District. Mike Holden is running unopposed for the Democrats for the same seat.
All other county elected offices only have the incumbents running for re-election. Those include Supervisor District Two with Dawn Rudolph, County Treasurer Katlynn Mechaelsen, County Recorder Deb McDonald and because County Attorney Thomas Laehn is a Libertarian and is considered not a major political party, his name will only appear on the November general election ballot and not during the June primary election.
The primary election will be June 7th.
