The Panorama Panthers boys track and field team will be getting their season officially underway soon and Head Coach Bruce Dahlhauser talks about a preview of the season.
Panorama Panthers boys track and field will get their official start to the season on March 29th and March 31st with two early bird meets in Earlham and Ogden respectively. While the athletes navigate through the season they will be doing so under the direction of first year Head Coach Bruce Dahlhauser who talks about his feelings coming into the season.
“It’s my first one as head coach so it’s kind of not really sure how to feel, excited and at the same time understanding that this program has been in a really good place in the past and although it has been kind of down the last few years there is always the goal to get back there and so for me the excitement of trying to rebuild that and harness the success that they’ve had for the last ten years is kind of the goal. So, we are excited to get after that”
Coach Dahlhauser says the roster has grown coming into this season and so far the atmosphere has him feeling like this year will be a successful season.
“Our numbers have risen from ten on last year’s roster to currently we have 27 so that’s exciting to look at too. Just to kind of see the competitiveness in our kids and the way they support each other really leads me to believe we are going to have a successful season and we are going to continue to get better each week and by the end of the year I think it’s going to be a program that not only us as athletes and coaches are proud of but our community and school can be proud of too.”
The season will get underway on Tuesday with an early bird meet at Earlham beginning at 4:30 p.m.
