Greene County Medical Center celebrated its employees with a ceremony this past Wednesday.

Several staff were recognized for their years of service, ranging from five to 40 years. Becky Wolf and Susan Frahm were recognized for their 40 years of service, along with Jodi Schroeder and Traci Wiggins for 30 years. Another highlight was the winner of the Van Zelderen Excellence Award, formerly known as the Employee Exemplifying Excellence Award. The inaugural recipient was Jesus Valles, who has worked with the medical center since 2019 and with Evergreen Ridge.

Wednesday’s ceremony kicked off several celebration weeks coming up with the medical center. Next week on March 30th is Doctor’s Day and it continues through May with Nurses’ Week from May 6th-12th and Hospital Week from May 8th-14th.

The medical center’s theme for 2022 is “Our Best Investments.” Community Relations and Foundation Director Nancy Houska says not only do they want to celebrate their own staff for their excellent care they provide, the medical center also wants to acknowledge and thank all patients, families, donors and volunteers from the communities they serve.
