A Grand Junction woman was recently sentenced to probation for a drug-related incident.
According to court documents, 31-year-old Michelle Christian pled guilty to a Class D Felony for her third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine. She had a five year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for two years with the Iowa Department of Corrections.
The charge stemmed from an incident on May 12th. Christian dropped a baggie that tested positive for methamphetamine on the floor of the Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson at 10:37pm. A Division of Criminal Investigation agent reviewed security footage confirming the incident took place, as a DCI agent is required to be at each state-ran casino.
Christian was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges, probation fees, court costs and court-appointed attorney fees.
