The Guthrie County Supervisors met Tuesday.

The Board held two public hearings, followed by approving the first reading to establish election precinct boundaries for Guthrie County and the  fiscal year 2022-23 county budget by a vote of 4 to 1 with Everett Grasty voting no. Grasty’s reason was that he felt the budget is unsustainable with the growth in Guthrie County. The property taxes levies for the next fiscal year will decrease for the urban area from $6.79 to $6.48 to $1,000 of property valuation and a decrease for rural areas from $10.74 to $10.33. They also approved adopting the certification of taxes.

The Board approved plans for a bridge upgrade on 130th Street, north of Guthrie Center for  the Secondary Roads Department.

The Board did not take action on a Shive Hattery invoice and three law enforcement center project change orders due to previous approval but approved a change order for the laundry ceiling.
