With the most recent redistricting process, local lawmakers are announcing their campaigns in new districts.
Iowa State Senator for District 10 Jake Chapman officially announced his reelection campaign in new Senate District 14. Chapman says he is excited to be able to again campaign for reelection.
“Dallas County is home for me, I was born and raised here. I look forward to continuing to represent the people of Dallas County. Obviously, we are the fastest growing county in the state and one of the fastest growing counties in the United States.”
Chapman tells Raccoon Valley Radio he has been able to get out and meet with people who aren’t in his normal district.
“I just continue to look forward to talking with those folks and it’s an absolute honor to be able to represent them and would ask for their support this coming November.”
The new Senate District 14 includes the southeastern portion of Dallas County including the cities of Adel, Van Meter, Booneville, Waukee, and West Des Moines.
