A fundraiser that supports teachers in the Greene County School District is fast approaching.
The Bringing Optimism & Opportunities to Students & Teachers (BOOST) of Greene County is hosting its fifth annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 2nd at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. The non-profit organization that supports teachers in the Greene County School District with funds that allows them to purchase additional classroom items or to go on field trips, raised over $60,000 last year and has a four year total of $225,000.
BOOST member Matt Wetrich invites the public to enjoy this year’s event and help honor the teachers.
“We want everybody to be there to help celebrate, not just for the fundraising component of it, but to create that really warm environment for celebrating teachers. That’s been my favorite part of the event each of the years we’ve done these in person ones is that moment where we do all of the teachers and education recognitions, it’s really a great moment.”
The doors open at 5pm, with a meal served at 6:30pm by the Greene County High School Ram Restaurant, and then the live auction will follow. There will also be a silent auction that will happen a week before the event to further drive donations. Tickets for the fundraiser are $30 and can be purchased online by clicking the link below. Deadline for tickets is March 26th.
