At their most recent meeting the Perry School Board approved a new computer purchase for students.

At their meeting in March the Board approved a student laptop, bag and Chrome management license not to exceed $150,000 from Dell Technologies. Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks talks about the purchase.

“Each year we want to replenish our computers and we have been able to do that the past few years so that we can keep up with the rotation, we can have current technology, current computers.”

Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio the district purchased Chromebooks along with the licensing and the bags for the students. Wick says another benefit deals with some issues for supplies of computer parts.

“We have felt fortunate about that with some of the issues with supply of computer parts but we will be able to get those in yet this year and be ready to go then once July 1 hits. .”

The Perry School Board approved the computer purchase at their March 7th meeting.
