Natalie Heupel
Track & field isn’t the easiest sport for many. Most of the events include running and pushing oneself to perform better than they have before. Greene County High School junior Natalie Heupel is a returning letter winner who primarily runs 100, 200, and 400 meters, both individually and on relays. There are few seniors on the team and no senior returning letter winners. Heupel told Raccoon Valley Radio encouraging others is a way all team members can help others, regardless of what grade they are in, or what role they have on the team. “We’re really good at encouraging the younger ones. After we run we need to stand by and support them too, and give them positive feedback.”
The Rams send their girls and boys to Storm Lake tomorrow for the Buena Vista University Elite High School Meet indoors. After that, it’s the outdoor season with the Rams scheduled to host the Greene County Early Bird Coed Meet on Monday, March 28 at Linduska Field in Jefferson.
