Jackson Morton

The third and final indoor track & field meet of the season for the Greene County girls and boys is tomorrow at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. It’s a coed event starting at 9 a.m.

Jackson Morton is a senior with Drake Relays and State Meet experience. He was fourth in the Class 2A 110 meter high hurdles in 2021 and anchored the Rams to a fourth place finish in the shuttle hurdle relay. He talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about prospects for the boys’ team in 2022. “I think we should be able to place at State as a team, honestly. We have a lot of juniors and seniors running in a lot of relays and there’s actually a lot of sophomores and freshmen that might be able to participate in the State Meet, too!”

After tomorrow’s indoor finale, the Rams will prepare for the outdoor season, which is slated to begin in Jefferson on Monday, March 28 at Linduska Field for the Greene County Early Bird Coed Meet.
