While the spring sports seasons are still a little ways away from officially beginning, now is a good time to look back on the best moments from the Panorama Panthers fall sports season.

Looking back on the wrestling season for the Panorama Panthers there was plenty of success to be had out on the mats as at the end of the year the Panthers sent three wrestlers on to the state tournament in Des Moines and they were all first-timers wrestling at Wells Fargo Arena.

Those three wrestlers were senior Cooper Andersen at the 220 pound class, senior James Hein at the 195 pound class and sophomore Tage Monahan at the 113 pound class. At the end of the tournament Cooper Andersen took home a seventh place finish with Monahan and Hein fell short of a medal finish.

While only three Panthers wrestlers moved on to the state tournament there were plenty of other impressive performances throughout the season including sophomore Cayden Van Meer who finished his year with an overall record of 34-13 as well as a freshman class that had some impressive performances as well including freshman Laine Christe finishing with a record of 23-16, Landon Kirtley finished at 27-22 and Will Knapp finished his season at 24-18.

While the Panthers wrestling team will lose a few seniors there are some underclassmen who will look to step up on the mat next wrestling season.
