Thursday, March 17th

12:22am: An officer located an Open Door at 900 Hwy. 30 East. A Key Holder was advised.

1:30am: A Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Julie Wells of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

9:28am: An officer arrested Sean Patrick Phillip Shell, 46 of Jefferson at 204 North Maple Street. Shell had an outstanding Greene County Warrant for, “Violation of Pretrial Release.”

11:43am: Kelley McCane reported finding an overhead door open at a Jefferson residence she is watching while the owner is away. McCane later advised she had learned the cleaning service had accidentally left the door open.

11:55am: Officers received a report of subjects possibly “Squatting” in an apartment at

12:16pm: Westwood Drive. The officer is investigating.

3:42pm: A caller advised of the smell of marijuana coming from an apartment at 307 North Cedar Street. Officers arrived and could smell the odor coming from the apartment. The resident of the apartment arrived and eventually signed a Consent to Search Form. During the search, officers located a glass smoking device and a trace of marijuana in the apartment. Charges are pending at this time.

4:35pm: Hannah Ralston advised an officer of numerous Phone Scam Calls she had received. The caller is accusing her of Money Laundering at a local bank. She was advised to block the number.

6:34pm: An officer began an investigation into a “Sex Offender Registry Violation.”

7:49pm: A caller reported a Stray Dog in the 500 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the animal.

10:28pm: April Hopkins requested officers at 607 West South Street for a Domestic Argument occurring. The officers mitigated the issue with the couple and no further action was needed.
