With the school year over half way through, Adair Casey/Guthrie Center School District is looking at summer improvements at the Guthrie Center Elementary School.
Superintendent Dennis McClain says that they are planning on updating every classroom counters along with updating the cubbies in the pre-school and redoing the floors in the cafeteria. McClain tells Raccoon Valley Radio that these projects were chosen because of age concerns.
“ Yeah, basically just getting some new stuff in there, as I said, especially with the counters. We’ve kind of been working on that. We’ve been doing a few classrooms every year and so this year we’ll actually finish those projects up and all of the classrooms will have new counters in them after this summer.”
McClain expects all these projects to be done by the start of the next school year.
