The deadline for paying property taxes is approaching.

Guthrie County Treasurer Marci Shreck says that the deadline to pay the 2nd half installment of property taxes is by March 31st by 4:30pm. She says there are multiple ways to pay property taxes that include in person at the Treasurer Office, online at IowaTreasures.org, through the post office and placed in the county drop box at the Guthrie County Courthouse. Shreck tells Raccoon Valley Radio here are no extensions for payments this year. 

“Some people have taken advantage of scheduled payments. You can go online at Iowa Treasury dot org and set up scheduled payments and set it up to come out monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, however you want to pay those.”
