The Greene County Elementary School is having a spring concert later this week.

Kindergarten through 4th grade general music teacher Emily Malamos says the second graders will perform “Sing the Rainbow” at 6:15pm on Thursday at the Greene County High School auditorium. The music will be based on the colors of the rainbow and Malamos points out the second graders have been working on using musical instruments and movement. The third graders will present “Old Time Favorites,” featuring music from the audiences’ childhood. The show will be at 7:30pm also on Thursday at the high school auditorium. Malamos notes the students have been enjoying learning classic songs as well as some useful choral skills. 

Artwork will also be on display in the commons at the high school and students can take those home following the concerts. The concerts are free and open to the public.
