There was a two vehicle crash Monday morning in Adair County that resulted in injuries. 

According to the Iowa State Patrol, deputies responded at 10:35am when driver 42-year-old Marcus Swell from San Antonio, Texas  was headed westbound on Interstate 80 in a 2000 Western Star and failed to complete a lane change prior to making a pass and collided with the left rear end of a 2019 Freightliner driven by 30-year-old Jean Sahens of Delray Beach, Florida and both vehicles came to a rest blocking a portion of the lane on Interstate 80 westbound. 

Swell and Sahens suffered injuries and were transported by Stuart Rescue to Mercy One in Des Moines. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The Stuart Police Department, Stuart Fire Department,  Adair and Guthrie Sheriff’s Offices also responded.
