The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.
The meeting will begin with a public hearing on the 2023 fiscal year budget and the Council will consider adopting the budget following the hearing. There will also be two other public hearings for the proposed sale of 105 and 107 North Chestnut Streets, with the Council to consider selling both properties after each hearing.
Additionally, the Council will consider for approval the Market to Market Relay event on Saturday, May 14th, hiring Elijah Block as the golf course clubhouse manager, hiring Dave Destival as the golf course greenskeeper, and hiring a cemetery and parks worker. They will also consider approving a promotion for Duane Onken to the lead position of the cemetery and parks and a one-time funding request for the Bell Tower Festival Committee for a carnival. Finally, the Council will hear a quarterly report from Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community.
