An assisted living community in Panora now has new services.

Lakeside Village Director Amanda Creen says that with the help of Governor Kim Reynolds and the approval from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals they are now licensed as a Certified Nursing Aide Training Program and can start hosting classes at Lakeside Village. Creen describes the process of getting this license.

“It all started with, you know, finding out if we could, even if the idea was even possible, like they would even let us do it. And then getting the right support and believers in the program here, so we could really sell them the dream and to be able to work with Governor Reynolds and work with Linda Kellen that DIA and have this accomplishment happen really sets the Lakeside Village up for future programming.”

She says she hopes to partner with area high schools and businesses, as well as build work to learn programs to host interns and students. Creen is excited to start the new program soon.
