A Paton-Churdan teacher was recently announced as a recipient of a grant that is agriculture focused.

P-C English Teacher Jennifer Redenius was awarded a $250 grant through the Iowa Ag Literacy Foundation with the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. These grants help classroom instructors develop new projects or expand existing ones, relating to agriculture literacy. 

According to Greene County Farm Bureau, Redenius will use the grant to expand the selection of textbooks that she’s already using in her classroom. The additional textbooks will be incorporated into learning standards and activities for her students.

Redenius is one of 111 grant recipients that were awarded across the state.
