Friday, February 25th

5:44am: Jan Black reported a vehicle sitting in front of 708 West Harrison Street, who was revving up its engine. The vehicle left the area before the officer arrived.

7:08am: An officer towed a vehicle to Impound from the 100 Block of North Pinet Street, which was violating several ordinances.

8:01am: A caller advised of several vehicles sliding corners at the Greene County High School, located at 1901 North Grimmell Road. The officer did not locate the vehicles in the area.

10:34am: Duane Forkner reported a Driving Complaint, which occurred at Lincoln Way and Chestnut Streets. The officer is investigating.

2:57pm: The Greene County High School requested an officer to check on a student, who was possibly under the influence of something. The officer spoke to the subject and was granted a Consent Search on his person and property. Nothing indicated to the officer the student was under the influence.

5:00pm: Tyler Rysavy requested an officer at 100 North Olive, Apt. 3, for a Domestic Issue. The officers worked to diffuse the issue between the couple.

7:21pm: Gary Parker requested a Welfare Check on a female in Jefferson. The officer spoke to the subject, who was fine.

10:24pm: Dennis Blum reported his adult daughter had not returned from a Child Exchange with he child’s father in Oskaloosa and she has not answered her phone. A short time later Blum called back and advised his daughter was fine.

Saturday, February 26th

6:30am: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Enrique Mejia of TX. being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

8:28am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 401 East Central Ave. The building was secure.

2:04pm: An officer responded to a Fire Alarm Activation at 1000 West Adams Street. It was a False Alarm.

2:05pm: A Traffic Stop at Cedar and Lincoln Way resulted in William Griffin of Rippey being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

2:36pm: Angela Dudley reported a neighbor had stolen her cats from 505 South Olive Street. She later advised she was mistaken and had located the cats.

4:09pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and 220th Streets resulted in David Bush of Des Moines being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

5:04pm: Lyndsie Thompson reported possible Harassment by Text Message. The officer did not feel the texts would warrant a Harassment Charge.

5:30pm: Angela Dudley reported people possibly coming to her residence to take her dog. The officer advised her to call back if they show up.

7:48pm: A caller advised of vehicles spinning donuts in the parking lot at 101 Ram Drive. There were no vehicles in the area when the officers arrived.

10:46pm: A traffic Stop at 220th and Grimmell Road resulted in Simon Wood of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:50pm: Officers responded to an Alarm Activation at 508 North Elm Street. The building was secure.

Sunday, February 27th

12:20am: Deputies were out of position and requested an officer to head to a Roll Over Accident at 240th, near Orion Ave. The subject advised he had been ejected from the vehicle. The officer arrived and located the subject and assisted the GC Ambulance in transport. The Sheriff’s Officer is doing the investigation into the matter.

4:03am: An officer assisted a subject at 505 South Olive Street, who believed she was in danger. The officer later coaxed the subject to ER for a Medical Evaluation by a doctor.

8:27am: Duane Delp reported a water main break near Cedar and Russell Streets. Public Works was advised of the break.

1:25pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 400 North Elm Street. The building was secure.

******** Officers issued (18) Parking Snow Violations during the snow event.
