The district individual speech competition will begin today and many Guthrie County schools will be in attendance.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School will have 12 students participating in acts such as storytelling, improv, musical theater, spontaneous speaking, acting and original oratory. The AC/GC performers will travel to CAM High School in Anita. 

Panorama High School will be sending 13 students to Earlham High School to perform in categories of poetry, musical theater, storytelling, acting and original oratory. 

West Central Valley High School will have six students travel to Earlham High School to compete in the following categories: musical theater, storytelling, literary program, poetry and solo improvisation.

Those who qualify will advance to the state contest.
