Greene County’s girls’ basketball season ended on Feb. 12 with a first round regional loss on the road at Sergeant Bluff-Luton. SB-L has advanced to the Feb. 28 Class 3A first round of the State Tournament in Des Moines. So has Roland-Story (Story City) from the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Norsemen advanced with a regional final victory over fellow HOIAC member West Marshall (State Center). Panorama is another team the Rams played and lost to, and the Panthers need one more victory to qualify for State in Class 2A.
The Rams were 0-5 against SB-L, R-S, and WM, and finished 3-19 overall under the direction of first year head coach Tori Ogden. Brianna Habben, the leading scorer and rebounder for the Rams, was the lone senior on the Greene County team.
