A reminder that tomorrow is a special program with the Greene County Historical Society.
The event will be focused on February as Black History Month as guest speaker and historical society member Dale Hanaman will review three amendments to the U.S. Constitution, known as the Civil Rights Amendments. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in the U.S., the 14th Amendment grants citizenship to all born or naturalized individuals in the U.S. and the 15th Amendment prohibits states from disenfranchising voters “on account of race, color or previous condition of servitude.”
The program will be held at 2pm tomorrow at the Greene County Historical Museum. It is free and open to the public.
