A strong performance from the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team Thursday night has them moving on in the Class 2A postseason.
The Panthers boys headed to Van Meter High School Thursday night for a Guthrie County rivalry game against the AC/GC Chargers for the Class 2A Substate 8 Second Round Game and came away with a victory as the score was 59-47 when the final buzzer sounded.
The Panthers boys got the best of the Chargers in two of the three games they played this season. The Panthers fell to the Chargers in the first matchup by a score of 65-64 but the Panthers boys won the second matchup by a score of 65-57. With their second win over the Chargers this season the Panthers punched their ticket to the next round of postseason basketball.
With their win Thursday night the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team is moving on to take on the Van Meter Bulldogs in the next round of the postseason. The Panthers boys played the Bulldogs once this season and fell by a score of 61-47.
The Panthers boys will have to travel to Creston High School to face off against the Bulldogs and tipoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 22nd.
