Three Dallas Center – Grimes Mustang wrestlers will be on the mat today for state tournament wrestling in Des Moines, as they will be looking to put up some good numbers in the class 3A tournament. The three wrestlers that will be competing for the Mustangs will be Logan Gard at 132 pounds, Jacob Fistler at 152 pounds, and Connor Pertzsch at 182 pounds.

Gard will be coming in with a 18-6 record and will be taking on Waverly – Shell Rock’s Carter Fecht in the first round. Fecht sports a 30-8 record and is apart of one of the best programs in the state. Fistler will be making another state tournament appearance after a strong showing from a year ago, as he will be taking on Brennan Amos of Newton. Only three combined losses between the two wrestlers with Fistler at 12-2 and Amos at 15-1. At 182, Pertzsch will be taking on Harrison Gibson of Southeast Polk, with Pertzsch coming into the match with a 27-12 record and Gibson will enter with a 19-5 mark.
