Three Panorama Panthers wrestlers punched their tickets to the state tournament with strong performances at the district contest on Saturday in Pleasantville.
Panorama wrestlers will be headed to Wells Fargo February 17th, 18th and 19th for the State Tournament after placing second or first in their respective weight class at the district tournament. Overall, nine Panorama wrestlers took part in the district tournament and two of the three wrestlers advancing are district champions.
For Panorama at 195 pounds James Hein took the first place spot and at 220 pounds Cooper Andersen took home a first place finish. In the 113 pound class Tage Monahan was able to secure a second place finish and will move on to the state tournament.
The other wrestlers who qualified for the district tournament included Landon Kirtley at 120 pounds who finished third, Will Knapp at 126 pounds who finished fourth, Cayden Van Meer at 138 pounds who finished third, Landon Goodenberger at 160 pounds who finished fourth and Isaac Monrroy-Nunez at 285 pounds who finished fourth.
The team with the most points at the meet was the Interstate 35 Roadrunners but Panorama came in a close second.
