The WCV wrestling team will be sending six wrestlers to state this weekend.

There is a lot of focus on getting to state this season. This is a big change from last year when WCV only had two wrestlers in Districts. The Wildcats were just short of that accolade of reaching state last year. Now they’ll have wrestlers Braiden Beane, Blaise Beane, Gage Davis, Zach Teague, Ayden Phippen, and Kaedon Lindsay that will look to do just that.

The Wildcats will be competing against 14 other schools in their Class 1A Sectional 11 assignment. The meet will be at Riverside.
