The Panorama Panthers girls and boys basketball teams completed their regular season with a home game against the Van Meter Bulldogs Thursday night.

The Panthers girls were looking to pick up a victory and remain undefeated in conference play throughout the entire season. The Panthers girls were able to pick up a 53-49 victory over the Bulldogs. The Panthers girls finish the regular season with an overall record of 21-1 and 15-0 in conference play.

In the win against the Bulldogs head coach Kylee Boettcher says senior Payton Beckman surpassed her sister Bailey Beckman in career total points. Payton now sits at the number one spot with 1,594. Boettcher says the Panthers girls will now turn their focus onto postseason play.

The Panthers boys were looking to pick up another conference win Thursday night but fell short against the Van Meter Bulldogs by a final score of 61-47. The Panthers boys finished their regular season with an overall record of 13-8 and a conference record of 11-5.

For the Panthers boys they will start their postseason run with a matchup against the West Central Valley Wildcats at Panorama High School on February 14th beginning at 8 p.m. The Panthers girls know they will be receiving a first round by in the Class 2A Region 7 bracket and their first game will be against either the Interstate 35 Roadrunners or Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks on February 15th at 7 p.m.
