Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers basketball had a boys and girls doubleheader on Friday night against the Carlisle Wildcats, and for the Tigers, they were able to grab the victory in both of their games, the boys 64-41 and the girls 58-43. ADM boys move to 8-9 on the season and the girls move back to .500 with a 10-10 record.
The boys were able to get a needed win as they were able to use a big second quarter, grabbing a 20 point halftime lead and able to maintain distance throughout the rest of the night. The Tigers were able to have nine team three’s on the night, lead by Adam Bryte’s four, as he was able to pick up 16 points on the night. Brevin Doll and Sam Hlas were both also in double figure scoring, as the Tigers won their eighth straight in the series over Carlisle.
The girls were able to use a scoring flurry of points in the second quarter as they were able to outscore Carlisle by 11 points in the final four minutes of the frame to grab a 13 point halftime lead, then made some good plays in the second half to pull away and grab the victory. Senior Olivia Tollari was able to lead the team with 21 points on the night.
For both of these teams, they will get geared up over the weekend before they step back onto the court on Monday, as they will be hitting the road at Winterset to take on the Huskies. The girls will be at 6 o’clock with the boys to follow. The game can be heard on True Country K1079.
