The Thomas Jefferson Gardens is making an effort to reach more tourism and the general public.
The Gardens Board offers a self-guided tour brochure of the grounds around the Welcome Center in Jefferson. The brochure is now offered in Spanish, with the work through board member Janice Harbaugh and Greene County High School Spanish teacher Amy Van der Meer.
The brochure highlights several features of the Gardens, including the history of the prairie garden, the Thomas Jefferson designed plow, the farmers’ garden, the greenhouse, musical instruments, and more.
The brochures in both English and Spanish languages are available at the Welcome Center.
