Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball were on the road on Friday night when they took on the Dutch of Pella, and they were able to grab some major wins on the night, the boys winning in overtime 61-57 and the girls using defense to their advantage in a 43-32 win. The girls move to 16-3 on the season and the boys to 13-4.

The boys were able to play in an exciting back and forth contest that was close throughout the entire evening in a loud atmosphere. In OT, DCG was able to execute at a great rate on the offensive end and get some big stops to get the win and retain the lead in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

The girls struggled to score on offense throughout the night, but made life difficult for Pella as they were tremendous on that end.

For both of these teams, their next game will be on Tuesday against Norwalk. Girls will begin at 6:15 and the boys to follow at 7:45.
