Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Speech Departments are headed to the State Large Group Speech Competition today. 

For ADM they had nine groups receive a Division I rating at the district competition including varsity readers theatre, choral reading, two improv groups, radio news, short film and tv news. There was also a freshman readers theatre and improv that earned a Division I rating at the district level and will participate in the state competition today. 

For Perry, six groups received a Division I rating at the district contest and will be participating in the state large group competition today. The entries include two in ensemble acting, two for group improv, along with readers theatre and short film. 

The state competition will be today at West Des Moines Valley High School.
