Dallas Center – Grimes boys basketball has been continuing to put up some numbers throughout their season, as they have been able to put up a solid 12-4 record on the year. Last week, DCG found out about their substate in 3A, as they will be in district 6, one that will include some good teams from around the state of Iowa.

DCG will be joined by Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, Ballard, Boone, Gilbert, Nevada, Newton, and Saydel. Four of those teams in that district have winning records and four have losing records, but overall it’s a tough district in general. DCG and Ballard have a pair of teams that are in or have been in the state rankings throughout the season, and are expected to be the two top seeds in the district thought that will be put together in the near future.

For DCG, they will be looking to continue to put up some quality wins in these last couple of weeks in the regular season, when they will take on Pella tomorrow on the road in a boy/girl doubleheader.
