Greene County sophomore Nathan Behne as been a regular at one of the most trusted kicking camps in the country and he continues to rise in the Kohl’s Professional Camps ratings system. Founded by former Iowa State University kicker Jamie Kohl, the reputation of the camps is so good, ESPN uses the Kohl’s rating system for their kicker, punter, and long snapper ratings.
At the recent Kohl’s 2022 Future Stars Camp in Florida, Behne saw his Kohl’s national ranking improve to number 31 and he improved to 4.5 stars on a five star rating system. The Kohl’s Professional Camps website noted that the Greene County sophomore sailed a kickoff 65 yards with a hang time of nearly four seconds, and he also did well in the field goal kicking portion of the camp. A paragraph on Behne from the Camp stated he could be just be scratching the surface and he continues to grow and get stronger. Listed at 6′ 0″ and 160 lbs., he’s considerably bigger than when he began high school.
Behne played a big role as the varsity kicker the last two seasons, when the Rams went a combined 16-5. They are the 2021 Class 2A District 8 champions.
