As we hit the peak of the influenza season, public health officials are making the final push for people to get the flu shot.
Greene County Public Health Director Becky Wolf reminds everyone it’s a good idea to always get the annual flu shot.
“You are essentially more healthy if you get a flu vaccine every year. Because there is evidence that the flu vaccine also helps to fight maybe some of the cold-like viruses. There is an advantage there.”
Flu shots are at most medical providers and pharmacies. Greene County Public Health is continuing to provide flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics every Tuesday from 9am-noon and Thursday from 1-4pm.
