Now that 2022 is underway, one non-profit organization in Greene County is looking for volunteers to get involved.

Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Jeff Lamoureux says volunteers are needed to serve on the county affiliate board, as well as the local family programs, construction and volunteer relation committees. He wants to ensure that the board and committee structure remains strong in Greene County.

“We want to stay thriving here and remain a fixture in the community and making an impact with those families, with those critical home repairs, and maybe someday we’ll build a house again. We always keep that on our radar and kind of look for opportunities there. But with that it take volunteers. It takes people who are committed to sit on boards and committees, and help make the plans and help structure the framework of our organization.”
