A Rippey man was recently sentenced to probation for his role in a drug network investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, 28-year-old Zachary Flinn pled guilty to a lesser charge of a Class C Felony for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver less than five grams. Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn advocated for a ten year prison sentence and the defendant requested probation. District Court Judge Christopher Polking sentenced Flinn to 2-5 years of probation.

The charge stemmed from a drug network investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office that began September 6, 2020. Court documents show that Flinn was part of a hierarchy in the network.

Flinn was originally charged with a Class B Felony for conspiring to manufacture, deliver, or possess methamphetamine with intent to deliver, which was amended to the Class C Felony. As part of the plea agreement, all other charges against Flinn, including a Class B Felony for ongoing criminal conduct and a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine were dismissed.
