Ar-We-Va’s Rockets visited Paton-Churdan’s Rockets on Thursday night in a make up girl/boy basketball doubleheader from the Rolling Valley Activities Conference. The visitors won both ends with a 59-31 girls’ score and 59-44 in the boys’ game.

Down, 25-14 at halftime, the P-C girls were out scored 20-11 in the third quarter, and 14-6 in the fourth. Emma Stream scored 13 points to lead the home team, with 10 by Haylee Duckett, and eight from Carmyn Paup. Stream had 11 rebounds and Paup stole the ball five times.

The boys’ game saw AWV up by a 31-23 halftime score. P-C had 11 points and four rebounds from Parker Fitzpatrick. Bradyn Smith had eight points, eight assists, and six rebounds, while Riley Cullum had nine points. Smith and Shaydon Thurman each collect three steals.

The Rockets are home in Rolling Valley action tonight vs. West Harrison (Mondamin). This is the fourth game this week for the P-C boys and the third for the girls as the Rockets look for their first basketball wins of the season.
