Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers basketball will be on the court tonight for a rare Thursday game, when they travel to take on the Ballard Bombers in Huxley. The girls come into the game with a 7-6 record while Ballard is second in the conference with their 11-2 mark. On the boys end, ADM enters with a 5-6 record and Ballard at 8-4.
The girls game should be an intriguing one, with ADM losing in the first game 53-32. ADM was only down five at halftime but Ballard was able to pull away in the second half, as the Tigers were only able to shoot 29% from the field in the loss. ADM is in the midst of a five game winning streak while Ballard was able to dominate in their victory over Winterset on Tuesday.
The boys couldn’t make enough plays down the stretch as they lost by 10 in the first matchup, which was after they had an eight point halftime lead. Ballard basketball has won five out of the last six in the series. Both teams come into the game with losing streaks, ADM dropping their last two and Ballard losing their last three.
The girls game will have a later start tonight, with the game at 6:30 and the boys to follow around 8. You can listen to the game on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. Pregame coverage will begin around 6:15.
