The legislative session  is starting today with one topic being on the minds of state representatives. 

Iowa State Representative for  District 20 Ray Sorensen says the pandemic is going to affect all legislators around the country. He states COVID-19 is here to stay and will be prevalent throughout the 2022 legislative session. 

“And it’s going to affect, you know, legislation. I know there’s going to be specific vaccine legislation introduced.”

Sorensen adds that there are thousands of bills introduced every year but that doesn’t mean they will become law due to the process of legislation. He also expects legislation on COVID-19 to last for a while.
