A national company, with a location in Perry, recently completed a donation program to help combat hunger.
Tyson Foods announced they donated 64 million meals throughout last year through various hunger and disaster relief efforts and community grants as well as on-site educational programs. Locally, the Tyson Foods plant in Perry donated $10,400 to help support the cause.
Tyson donated more than 16 million tons of protein in 2021 which equates to 64 million meals and valued at $36 million to various food banks, pantries and hunger relief organizations in various communities throughout the country.
